The cThings Cloud platform is built from the ground up on Amazon Web Services (AWS), the world’s leading cloud infrastructure provider. We leverage the AWS ecosystem and adhere to their recommended best practices to ensure your data is secure both at rest and in transit.
Our infrastructure is hosted in a private cloud
All our critical systems are hosted in a load-balanced private cloud environment, secured behind a firewall. This ensures that only authorised individuals can access your data and resources, using multifactor authentication and a zero-trust security model.
Secure programmatic access to your data
Our API is secured using OAuth2, ensuring that only authorised users can access their data. This approach requires the use of auto-expiring tokens, which helps prevent the risk of replay attacks. By using short-lived tokens, we enhance security and ensure that access remains tightly controlled.
