This week we welcome a new member of the cThings team, Tom Ashman, who has joined as a front end developer.
Tom is a graduate from the University of Southampton who completed a Masters of Engineering, studying electrical and electronics engineering. Towards the final two years of his study, Tom took an interest in biosensors and bioelectronics and produced several projects covering the creation of novel sensor systems in insoles for potential human rehabilitation applications.
Tom’s previous role before joining us was in web development working on new biodegradable and recyclable packaging solutions whilst also building and maintaining their website and eCommerce business. In his spare time, Tom has worked as a freelance photographer specialising in event, portrait and travel photography and occasionally videography.
Tom will be part of our team tasked with turning creative software design concepts and ideas into reality, working on a wide range of software challenges that include designing and building new web-portals, integrating third-party applications and further develop our existing products. He will work directly with industry-leading clients to identify new product developments and resolve issues, write production-ready supportable and tested code.
We wish Tom luck in his role and will let you know how he gets on.
