Our first network in Dubai has been deployed this month at the newly built Plaza Residences in Jumeirah Village Circle.

The Spanish style building is located in a freehold district of Jumeirah Village and is a commercial and residential hub for the community. Connected to other districts by an internal tram network that links to Dubai Metro the complex has over 400 apartments over 12 floors.

cThings worked with a local partner on-site to implement a LoRaWAN network right across the complex and it is one of the first large-scale demonstrations of LoRaWAN in a residential tower block. We are delighted with the results and see this as a step towards implementing IoT across the city in the future.
